This amazing, petit oil painting is thought to be the work of famous French artist Louis Francois Leon GAUTIER (b. 1855 d. 1947). He painted wonderful genre scenes; landscapes, seascapes and still life during his lifetime.
The artist has beautifully captured that brief moment in time when two exotic birds are in flight, long before the ultra fast shutter-speeds of modern cameras could have done so.

Gautier's work has sold at Christies auction house, the average hammer price being £1,800, some results much higher.
This painting is unsigned and measures approx. 13 inches by 10 inches framed. It is in excellent condition, ready to hang.
