I have for sale a very nice example of a late 18th century, Indian (or Afghan) Pulwar sabre, having a steeply curved and remarkably sharp 29 inch Steel blade, having a rounded back edge.

The hilt is all Steel and firm with the blade, the hilt bearing small traces of previous Gold koftgari decoration (now worn away with use and age) and complete with incised decorative lines. The crossguard with pierced tapered langets and down-turned, engraved quillons and a central rosette on one side.

The sword having a swollen faceted grip, with a dish pommel with ornamentation on top. All in very good condition and approximately 230 years old.
