I offer for sale, a Late Victorian period or early 20th Century theatrical sword, manufactured by "Whites of London", in the Royal Navy bandsman's sword style, and stamped at the ricasso of the blade.
 
The very slightly curved, double fullered blade, measures 28 inches in length and is firm in it's hilt - no movement.
 
The highly ornate brass hilt is in Mamaluke style and bears the following stamp on the backstrap - "1855 RN".
 
A very pleasing bandsman's style sword.
