 have for sale a very nice, Victorian era, British 1822 pattern, Infantry Officer's sword and steel scabbard, by maker "C. Webb of 23 Old Bond Street, London", as marked in acid etching at the ricasso of the blade.

The blade measures 32 1/4 inch in length and bears quite a lot of nice, visible and decorative acid etching, and is a good tight fit with the hilt, the "Proved" slug still being in place.

The brass 'gothic' styled hilt guard is all intact and the folding guard is in excellent and works well. The Shagreen grip cover is in excellent condition and all of the grip wire intact.

This sword comes complete with two ring, Steel scabbard which has a few period 'dings' to it.
